Associate

Non-exempt HR professionals
Those with a bona-fide interest in HR but who do not meet the requirements for
Professional or General membership
Cannot vote in HRABC elections and cannot hold HRABC office

General

HR professionals with exempt level HR experience but who do not meet the requirements for Professional Membership (see above)
Have HRABC voting rights but cannot hold HRABC office

Member in Transition

Who qualifies for transitioning membership?
Any active HRABC member who is unemployed at the time of his or her membership expiration date or becomes unemployed up to 90 days after the membership lapses and has received approval from SHRM for MIT status** Approval from SHRM must be submitted to HRABC prior to approval**
HRABC must be the primary chapter designation.
Cannot vote in HRABC elections and cannot hold HRABC office
Note: Benefits of transitioning membership are subject to change or cancellation without notice. 

Professional

3+ years Exempt level HR experience and/or
PHR or SPHR and/or
Full time faculty, attorney or HR consultant
Have voting rights and can hold HRABC office
Note: Must be reflected in Job Description

Student

Student who is affiliated with a student chapter and pay no dues.
Cannot vote in HRABC elections and cannot hold HRABC office
